AskTheBook Bible mentor — every answer grounded in Scripture

Privacy Policy

Draft for review — contact details to be confirmed by the Founder before launch.

1. What we collect

Email address — the address you provide when starting a subscription. We use it to send you subscription receipts and updates, and to recognise you when you return.

Usage data — we store server-side analytics events (page views, checkout started, trial activated, chat messages, paywall blocks) for product improvement. Analytics files contain a hashed identifier derived from your email, never your full email, your message text, or your IP address.

Your questions and answers — when you are signed in, we keep the question you asked, the answer, the verse references it cited, the language and the time, so your account page can show you your own history. The file is named after a hash of your email and never contains your address; you can export or delete the whole history from the account page at any time. Crisis conversations are never stored.

Payment data — we do not see or store your card details. Payments are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record); Paddle stores your payment details and billing address under its own privacy policy.

2. How we use data

We use your email to operate your subscription and access, and aggregated analytics to understand how the product is used. We do not sell personal data.

3. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that run the product (hosting, analytics) and with Paddle as required to process payments and refunds. We do not share personal data with third parties for their marketing.

4. Retention

Subscriber records are kept while your subscription is active or as required by law. Analytics events are kept for product analysis; you can request deletion as described below. Question history is kept for 90 days and at most 200 exchanges per subscriber, or until you delete it yourself.

5. Your rights

You can export your data ("Export my data") and delete it ("Delete my data") directly from your account page — deletion removes your question history and our local record of your subscription. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us (see below). You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle-managed link; billing stays with Paddle until you cancel there.

6. Contact

Contact: Contact page (email address to be confirmed by the Founder).

7. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page.
